Hola. Today I'm going to rave to you about the astonishing, Guembe Butterfly Sanctuary. I will be going to other venues like, Aqualand and Plaza Murillo. Guembe is located at, N0.7, Camino a Poronga, Santa Cruz. It is only 6.3 km away from Bungan Villas. The hours of operation is 8.30am to 18.00.
Guembe was a mind blowing experience for me. To see all of these native butterflies fluttering around me, meeting and greeting a different culture also seeing all the different animals who are trained and very friendly too me and the staff who just love their job. I felt like I was in a different world. It was made for any age and it is a 24 hectare spacious place. There is helpful staff who show you around also a grand butterfly sanctuary. The three things that catched my eye was the, thrilling pool, the scientific Animal Observatory and the fascinating Butterfly Sanctuary.

I walked over to the pool and noticed that it was massive. I went down the slippery slide on my tummy, and landed with a big splash. It was sensational because of the overjoyed feeling I got when I got down to the bottom.
After that I noticed a peacock started chasing me. I had to laugh, it was definitely spine chilling, but the peacock was only trying to be friendly.
After all that I was finally at I was finally at the Animal Observatory. I spotted some, amusing adult
sloths, squawking toucans , phenomenal armadillos walking all over the place, historical tortoises and frightening snakes. I held up a snake and it slivered around my neck. It was a experience of a lifetime. Especially seeing the sloths because there home land is South America.
I was now very excited to go to the magnificent Butterfly Sanctuary, but the bad thing was I had bird poop on my leg from the bird which wasn't that pleasant so I had to go and wash it off in the hygienic bathroom. I got to the butterfly sanctuary and saw some butterflies. There were some as dark as blueberries, some looked like they had eyes on the wings and some that were as big as my hand. It was really exciting to see all these butterflies because where I come from there is only orange butterflies.
After that I had enough time to visit the exotic plants of Guembe. There was a plant that I particularly liked. It looked like loads of flamingo beaks but with a lit up red and yellow which is as bright as the sun all over it.
If you get there at 12.30pm you will get to hire the gear for free (including togs). The tickets are free so you will not have to pay to get in.
I hope you come to the spectacular Guembe. It was a great experience for me and it could be for you. Good bye and remember to come and book a holiday in South America from South America Backpackers. Guembe
